Hi, I'm Louise. I'm a Registered Nurse, Privately Practicing Midwife and Lactation Consultant. Not to mention, mother of Four beautiful children. My twins are 13, little brother is 8 and our 1 year old baby girl. I'm raising my family here in Wollongong, where i call home.

My passion for helping mums on their birthing and breastfeeding journeys began after having my own children and learning for myself the difficulties new mums can face navigating a hospital system and then adjusting to life with a new baby.

I have first hand experience as a mother with many different aspects of the hospital birthing system including preterm birth (my twins were 31 weeks), instrumental birth of vaginal twins, NICU in 2 busy Sydney hospitals, NICU at Wollongong hospital, Breastfeeding difficulties, Midwife Group Practice (MGP), Homebirth, breech vaginal birth, Relactation and co feeding. Basically after a difficult scary birthing and postnatal experience of my preemie twins i went on to have the most healing wonderful birth at home of my healthy full term little boy. You can read the full birth story of Rhys' vaginal breech home birth on my blog.

I then had the amazing opportunity to relactate and enjoy the experience of co feeding my baby girl that my wife so magically birthed at home.

I now have 14years professional lactation experience under my belt, the last 9 years as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant. I also have 6 years (and counting) personal breastfeeding experience, feeding my twins for 2 and a half years and my youngest son just on 2 years.

In my 14years  midwifery experience, I've worked in the public and private sectors and have settled in the last 4 years to private practice. I am a registered medicare eligible endorsed midwife which means my clients have access to government subsidised care. My midwifery scope covers the range of maternity care including homebirthing.

I look forward to working with you and your family and making a difference in your pregnancy, birth, breastfeeding and parenting journey.
